So hows the engine feel? Is there a noted improvement in it's performance with everything you did to it?

Runs great. Marked improvement. Took short run out on Interstate this afternoon. Realized it was running 85 just as I saw a trooper - he shook his finger at me as I was shutting it down (small town). Curious to find out what gas mileage is. Idles so smooth it is hard to tell it is running other than exhaust (low rumble). Lots more pep., no bogging.

What would you attribute the smooth idle to? New timing chain?

Hard to say. Probably combination of timing set and plenum, cleaning TB, changing plugs and wires and cap. Lots of things done.

Plugs:

I am surprised that it even ran at all.

Severely used and abused. I knew this was going to be aproject when my wife bought it for me........Thinks she is trying to keep me busy. Took over a month to rebuild transmission, couple weeks on steering and suspension, week on kegger. Wish there was a section on DF for paint and body. That will be coming after I replace dash, radio, carpet and upholstery.

I only recently began getting occasional cly 8 misfire after i rebuilt tranny. About one time a day.

I am thinking of installing HS rockers. My son says this is a bad idea on old springs. Haven't decided. May do it and replace valce springs (so I don't have to hear him say "I told you so" later down the road.

Thanks! This will save me some time looking that up. Thinking about buying another pair of heads and porting them to put the HS rockers on. (reduces sowntime and allows me to work on it as I get time.) Only thing I don't like about the Mopar parts is price at dealer. Shame you can buy online cheaper than buying local.
