New Shocks.....
Im looking to put new shocks in my truck in the very near future. Im just not sure what kind i want to buy. I've kinda decided to either get rancho or edelbrock but im just not set to anything yet. I know there are guys in here that have installed both. What are your opinions on these? Anybody have another brand they really like? Advantages? Disadvantages?
I don't do a whole lot of off-roading but i do once in a while so i want something that will feel good on the highway but take the beating when i do go through the mud.
Yup, that is the same reason I bought the ones I did (that and they were buy 3 get 1 free when I bought them). I figure it is better to have a shock that can handle it when I do need it then one that will fail because it was never meant for it to begin with. So far, I am very happy with mine, but they are not cheap (unless they have another sale). My second choice was the Pro Comps and Edelbrocks.

Installed the Edelbrock IAS shocks on our '98. Got them through 4WheelParts, which usually has free shipping or some kind of sale each week. They settled down our truck's ride as much as a shock can w/ HD springs and no load. Many here say I installed them upside down, but installed them as instructed (boot down).
