Default Exhaust Manifold question

I was curious to know the difference between the stock exhaust on a 1994-95 ram versus a 1996-03 ram...other then EGR. Can one year be swapped with the other, visa versa? Can anyone confirm either one?

Exhaust Differences. I would think if you swapped the whole system, it would bolt right up. Hangar locations might be different though.

I'm an idiot for not proof reading my own question. I was referring to just the exhaust manifold itself. I just bought some headers for a 94-95 ram and I have a 97. I just curious if I should prepare for any modding? I already know about capping the egr valve...and thanks (as always) for such a quick response.

I think the only difference is the provision for EGR. Aside from that, should be direct fit. I think....

I just finished checking summit and apparently 94-95 headers have 2 1/2 inch collector diameters and 96-03 have a 2 inch collector diameter...guess I should have checked that earlier. I should still be okay right?

Maybe..... if the flanges on your y-pipe aren't big enough, you will have leaks.

I get pretty good overlapping so I can only hope It's good. I think I will need to put some copper rtv. Do you know of anything more solid like a sealing donut that would work?

Okay, so the 94-95 "donut" collector ins 2 1/2 inches and the 96 and up is 2 1/4. So with that being said, is there a special reducer that anyone knows of that I can buy to aid in the proper fitting? Anyone?

Funny thing is thats what I was thinking. (Great minds think alike) Problem is, I don't have a welder. Do any other options come to mind?
