F1 airgap intake manifold... Does it acualy make a big improvement???
I have to replace my blown plenum and I'm wanting to eliminate it altogether, I've been looking at the Mopar M1 or the Hughes AirGap, there are pro's and con's to them both. Kinda hard to figure out which one to get.
I have no intention on doing an SCT Tune or other mod's except for a rear locker and some exhaust work.

Please forgive the stupidity, but why is the tune so important with either the mopar m1 or the hughes airgap?

Emailed Sean at HemiFever, got a run down on the SCT's for the 5.9, thinkin about changing it all over soon.
The airflow characteristics change and the stock tune doesn't take advantage of that, causing a low end torque loss.
