If I get that foglight kit for my truck, do I also need to buy an HID Wiring Kit such as this one since my truck is a 96 and it will mess with the check engine light and ****

the lights should have nothing to do with the check engine light... I have aftermarket in my 96 and HID kits usually draw less power than oem (35w vs 55w)
