Links are to a private album, so, can't see the other pics. (and that would also be why the image tags don't work. Except last one... for some strange reason.) Or, maybe it's just HTML won't work.

That said, have a look Here. I can't figger out how to blow up the picture, but, looks like maybe part of the band apply parts? 916-2 on the right side, in the middle?

Looks like the front band strut. Goes between the front band and apply lever.

your the sec person to say its a abnd { something} the link that dont work is the same pic i wasnt sure what one would . so that being in the pan is it something that can be fixed without pulling the tranz ? or is it time for a rebuild ? whats a fair price for a rebuild ? so far i have been told its going to be 2k thats them pulling and installing. best i seen on ebay for rebuilders with good feedback is 1395 but there shipping is like 400 bucks. so the few hundred bucks savings is not worth me pulling the tranz. { not to me anyhow } LOL thanks for any replys :-)

Wait for Rocky_mtn_ram, or GDStock, or J415... they have all rebuilt their own transmissions, and should be able to answer the question, I have no clue. 99% of what I know about auto's, I learned reading here.....

Can you look in there, and see if there is any place that it should be??

Click on the link above and scroll 2/3s the way down. Take a look at Part 9. It'll explain everything. And yes, you can do it without dropping the trans. You will need to drop the valve body (not as hard as it seems). Hope that answered you question.
