I used the loan a puller from AZ. Lucky for me they didn't charge me for it when i busted the itty bitty bolt putting the new (to me) clutch on.

Least your caught yours before it seized and burned the belt off.

I'm not sure how AZ does their tool loan program but with O'Rielly's they rent you the tool and you have to have it back by a certain time, I'm thinkin it's either 24 or 48 hours, after which they can't accept it back, and it's pretty much yours. Seems like a flawed program for O'Rielly

That's a good question...never paid much attention to their policy, but AZ is the only place I do the loaner tool (they're only 6 blocks from the house). I can't say if I've had a tool longer than 48 hours, 24 yep. But I won't buy parts there.

AZ Loan-a-Tool doesn't have a date requirement.

That all depends, my O'Reilly's give me a 48 hour limit. However, if I need it longer, I just call them up and let them know. I still get my deposit back. They just want to know your not gonna steal their crap.

And some of the rental prices are more expensive then the actual tool is to buy. Case in point a "pickle fork" was like $10 to buy and I think $15 to rent, something like that...

The manager at the O'Rielly's in town said after the time period is up they can't accept it back.

With AZ you pay full price for the tool and just get a refund when you bring it back. That way they are not out any money.
