front and rear lockers?

Default front and rear lockers?

i was pricing out lockers and they giving me the same part number for lockers for front and rear.. are they both the same? i kinda thought the front and rears would be different?

Both axles are pretty much the same thing. One of them just has steering capability. Lockers for them will be the same part number.

and i shouldn't have problems with it being in the front with the rasm having auto locking hubs ?

With a locker in the front, all of the front drivetrain parts will be turning all the time. (I think....) Gas mileage may suffer a bit. Also, with a locker in the front, in low traction situations, the truck will tend to want to go in a straight line, regardless of which way the front tires are pointed.

There are a couple members that have locked front/rear axles here, at least one of them stated he doesn't have any problems at all, and handling in 4wd isn't as bad as you would think. Still, I think a selectable locker in front would be the hot ticket. (also, more expensive though....)

yeah i would like to do a ARB int he front...maybe i'll just hold off on lockers till i can afford the lock hub kit

I know many ppl that run the detroit truetrac up front with no cmplaints. A cheaper option than the ARB
