We know what you are referring to. We are referring to the only FACTORY installed y pipe. So, to help you out, we are suggesting your guy installs 2 new y pipes. One to REPLACE the factory one after the manifolds, and then the one you are talking about.

What your referring to is a muffler back dual exhaust. Look in the bone yard if that's what you want. I got mine from there or $40. The y pipe that everyone's referring to starts at the exhaust manifold and ends at the cat converter.

Oh wow i feel a little dumb now. Haha thanks for clearing it all up. But still for the intake...should i do that setup i suggested for 100 bucks and see if he could put on a heat shield or get a k@n dropin setup? Ill ask him how much extra it will be to get the y pipe before the muffler and post back..

But i was wandering another thing..(Sorry im new to trucks, im a fourwheeler guy)

Anyways, i was wanting to put a pillar and guages on. Is there only certain pillars that would fit into the truck? Im kinda looking for an inexpensive but good quality set because i been getting minimum hours at work.

I have the K@N drop in. No noticable sound difference. Maybe a little but nothing like a 14x3 or a CAI.
