Default need help!!!!!!

Its like 95 degrees out and my ac isnt working. the clutch on the pump isnt ingaging. anyone know how to fix it?[sm=headbang.gif]

you can try to use one of the re-charge kits from the auto parts store... I had mine turning off after a few minutes. recharging it fixed it. yours may be tooo low so give it a shot...

so if its too low the pump wont ingage? I just bought one today and then i noticed it wanst working

On some cars and trucks you sometimes need to jump the compressor controler if the freon is too low this is to allow the compresor to engage even with out fliud. That should be listed in a chiltons manual or simular.. On my 97 I did not have to do that when my compressor quit. I just hooked up my gages and started filling the compressor...took about 3 cans if i remember right...Or that might have been mu suburban...Any how Steve's suggestion is much cheeper than a new compressor. Especially if has been working. And a good tip for your AC is once a month or so in the winter months run it for about 5-10 min. This keeps everything working and the gas under pressure

I tryed to jump the compressor but i doesnt want to pull in and ingage. Im going to take it to a friend of mines shop and see if he can fix it.
