Default stalling at stop sign or traffic lights

My "new" 98 ram 1500, with 66000 mi, 5.2 V8, has started to stall when slowing down at stop signs lights etc. Whenever I slow down the engine does not miss or stumble, it just dies, starts up again fine then repeats at the next slow down. I have to drive with putting slight pressure on the gas pedle to get around. The engine light is not on and there are no codes found. Any ideas would be helpfu.
Thanks
Joe

Clean the throttle body. Take it off the intake, remove the IAC motor from the back, and make sure those passages are nice and clean. (disconnect battery while you are doing this.)

If it still misbehaves, check TPS output voltage. Should start somewhere below 1 volt, and progress SMOOTHLY to over 3.5 at wide open throttle. (analog meter is best for this check) if either end is out of range, or, voltage bounces around thru the sweep, replace it.

Thanks for the replies.....I guess it's time to clean the throttle body and check out the sensor. I'll post back with the results

either IAC or TPS. replace IAC first and clean the well/port. if that doesn't fix it, keep the old IAC as a spare and replace TPS.
