Default Computer Flash for Transmission

I have a 1998 Ram 2500 360 with automatic transmission. I bought the truck new and I know it has never had the computer updated. I heard there was a update that improved the transmission shifts. Is this true and will a superchip progamer do the same thing? Thanks for your input.

No, the software update will **** you right off. DON'T DO IT.

if you want a tuner, go with the SCT tuner. 265 bucks, comes with three tunes. If you later decide to do odd and strange things to your truck, heads, cam, etc. For another 100 bucks, you can upgrade to custom tunes. Contact Hemifever at Hemifevertuning.somethingorother.

i'm not sure what years this applies to, but i think there is a desirable software flash that will change the shift sequence from 1-2-3-OD-TC to 1-2-3-TC-OD. HOWEVER, you will also get an undesirable death flash for engine timing.

so - don't do it.

Superchips programming DOES provides the same transmission changes which also moves OD out from about 45 mph to 53 mph.
