trans acting weird?

Default trans acting weird?

Okay i bought this truck mid march 2011, this has only happened 3 or 4 times, when i'm driving it wont shift sometimes, like i said it have only have 3 or 4 times, around 40 to 50 mph it wont shift to 3rd or 4th maybe? not sure which gear, i just pull over turn the truck off and start it and its fine. it has a new trans that was installed about 25k miles ago.

If there is still any warranty left on the trans, take it back and have it checked out.

Might be as easy as a dirty connector somewhere though.

well what is weird is.....i bought it off a guy who lives 2 hours away, and the place he got the trans installed was 2 hours away from him because his truck broke down where he was vacationing so he had it installed up there. not worth the drive to me. ill have my dads buddy check it out. you think it could be linkage ?

Mine was doing that. It would be fine after shutting it off for a little while. Turned out to be clogged Governor solenoid.
