cracked 46re.....

Default cracked 46re.....

went to adjust the bands and welll did the one on the outside, was working on the one in the pan and saw that i have a nice crack running around my trans, it dont leak, i dont know how bc its big ****ty pic will get some in a bit


but HOW DID THIS HAPPEN!!!!!!

Looks like a stress crack in casting. May not be an issue if it is suface only. Are engine and transmission mounts all good?

no but ill check, truck was a plow truck with dump box n salt spreader up to 131K when i got it in may, and i am not nice to it so it has lived a hard life

if the surface is prepped good I've seen jb weld hold harder welds.... might be worth a shot.
