Front Driver Side Shaking
Alright guys got a shaking issue, I'll give the full run down before I get into the problem.
First off, had bad ball joints, replaced driver side, passenger side is next, alignment is off, pulls a bit to the passenger side, but not too bad. Doing passenger side joints ASAP, then alignment.
Truck had NO shaking issue's at all with the stock 16" Wheels and tires that were on them, put on the 17's and the very next day noticed a shake from the driver front when I get up to 60MPH
I figured it was just the wheels needing to be balanced, got that done, same problem.
Then, I got crashed into - Wrong Place at Wrong Time incident.
Then I thought well maybe it's the tire, so I rotated the driver front to the driver rear, and driver rear to the driver front.
No change, still shakes.
Today I was on the interstate with her and it shakes at 60, you can see the front corner of the hood shaking side to side, as well as feel it in the truck and steering wheel.
The shake is completely gone at about 65 then back at 70.
Crazy thing I noticed on the interstate when the shake is a full force if you let go of the steering wheel it will immediately pulls it to the LEFT, there isn't enough force to feel it pulling left when you have the steering wheel in your hands, and at normal speeds, 55 and below, the plain jane alignment problem pulls it to the right.
I don't have much time after work during the week, so this weekend I'm jacking her up and checking everything out, gonna recheck the torque on the ball joint nuts/bolts while I'm there.
I've done some spot checking on the tie rods and they look and feel good, boots aren't worn, no holes, normal rotational play, ie: grab it and rotate it a little.
Any other suggestions on what I should look at?
Thanks.

I don't think there are any problems with the rotor, but that is something I will look at.
I'll have to check into the hub bearing too.
It's weird that it first started after I put on the 17" wheels, but I'm wondering if that's just a coincidence at this point since it seems to do it regardless of which tire/rim is on the driver front and, the driver front is the only wheel shaking.

If you rotate the tires, and the vibe stays the same, it probably isn't the wheel/tire. It DOES sound like a balance problem though...... Try putting a pair of your other tires on the front. (you don't have 4x4, so, different sizes front and rear isn't really an issue, and this is just a test.....)

Think I'll take it back to the shop and get the tires checked over and re-balanced.
