Default 24 volt accessories on a 12 volt system??

I know what you're thinking. 24 volt accessories can not be ran on a trucks 12 volt system, I know this. So this thread is for anybody who has any electrical know how or experience. What kind of transformer would I be able to use on my truck to run several LED lights? I'm not sure of what amperage it takes to run them, but I do know that LED lights' amperage would be less than conventional lamps. I'm going through all this trouble because I can get a whole bunch of LED headlamps, foglamps, and spotlights that are 24 volt and I'd really like to use them bc it doesn't get any cheaper than FREE!!

I might be wrong but I have ran them like you would a normal light with a fuse or relay and a switch with u going to a lower voltage I don't see it causing harm I just see them not being as bright as if ran through a 24 volt system I may be wrong but I don't see how it would hurt it

You could always use what is known as a DC to DC converter which boosts 12VDC to 24VDC. How many total watts worth of LED's do you want to try and run?
