idle issue
hi there i just bought a 1999 dodge ram sport
has 70,000 original miles runs great drives well
the truck has idle issues
everytime i come to a stop the car dies on me , or if u put it in reverse the car dies.
the car fax showed nothing at all on major work .
any ideas would help
if it cant be fixed ill just sell it thanks...

The PCM can store codes (and counts) on some issues before the CEL comes on.
Follow zman's link and check and clean the IAC, then check the TPS. You can go the the FAQ/DIY section and download a service manual. It will help.
