ok so i blew the bearings out of my lower end in the summer... tore it down.. things were bad.. anyway, i decided this was a good time to do the 408 stroker kit.. so i send it out to be built and i get a call saying that my heads are cracked.. really no suprise i guess.. so now i need to buy new heads... which ones do i go with?? the truck is an 01 ram magnum 5.9.
Yeah, if you can afford them! That could be important, but if one could afford them, I agree - it would be the way to go.

Do a search fo Clearwater (I think) or Odessa heads. Several others regard them well. I have not tried them, but their prices are pretty good.

I forget where I heard this but Eddy's limit what headers you can use on them. Don't know if that would affect you but just a heads up.
Okay. I just checked up on that to make sure I was relaying the right info and I was wrong. Here's what the instructions say;
"Exhaust Headers: Any header or exhaust manifold designed
for original equipment cylinder heads will fit Edelbrock
Performer RPM Chrysler Magnum cylinder heads. The
exhaust ports are CNC profiled to match Mopar Performance
#P4876102 exhaust gaskets which are recommended for this
application"
