Default which heads????

ok so i blew the bearings out of my lower end in the summer... tore it down.. things were bad.. anyway, i decided this was a good time to do the 408 stroker kit.. so i send it out to be built and i get a call saying that my heads are cracked.. really no suprise i guess.. so now i need to buy new heads... which ones do i go with?? the truck is an 01 ram magnum 5.9.

There are a couple of threads here that mention something like clearwater heads. May try a search or google them

yeah i got looking around and hit up bionic dodge.. seems as though eddy heads are pretty much the way to go if ya can afford them.. from what ive read..

Yeah, if you can afford them! That could be important, but if one could afford them, I agree - it would be the way to go.

Do a search fo Clearwater (I think) or Odessa heads. Several others regard them well. I have not tried them, but their prices are pretty good.

I forget where I heard this but Eddy's limit what headers you can use on them. Don't know if that would affect you but just a heads up.

really? i will have to look into that, i hadnt heard it before now, hope mine are ok lol i just got gibsen stainless shorties. thanks for the info

Okay. I just checked up on that to make sure I was relaying the right info and I was wrong. Here's what the instructions say;
"Exhaust Headers: Any header or exhaust manifold designed
for original equipment cylinder heads will fit Edelbrock
Performer RPM Chrysler Magnum cylinder heads. The
exhaust ports are CNC profiled to match Mopar Performance
#P4876102 exhaust gaskets which are recommended for this
application"
