Default Fog light install

98 Dodge Ram 1500. Originally did not come with fog lights. I see the connections capped off under the truck near the front which I assume is for fog lights. I am going to try and get the fog light assembly at a junk yard today, and was wondering if there is anything else I have to do. My headlight switch is just the one you pull out to turn them on. Will I need a different one? If so are the wires the same for the circular headlight switch?

You'll need a different HL switch as well. And relays and or fuses for the PDC. Somehow I don't think it's pre wired . So get all you can. If you do a search here, just in the last couple days, some one was selling a complete kit from mopar.

Consider talking to the parts counter person at the local Dodge dealership. I bought a kit for my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. It came with two fog lights and the switch. And it came with cartoon instructions with no words.

Here is the thread I was talking about. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...og-lights.html

I also have a set with custom harness if interested. Complete with relay and it wires into the parking light wire (no need for new switch).
