Default plug wires

I'm due for a tune up , I currently have msd 8.5mm , will putting on factory wires make a diffrence ?

Get a good set and you'll be fine. Wire them according to the TSB. I use Standard Motor Products brand and dont do the TSB and I've never had a prob.

I'm using Summit Racing 8mm wires, no TSB routing, with no problems.

there.. .fixed that for you..

these trucks aren't real good at catching a misfire.. they usually need several consistent misfires to kick a code.. bad wires and/or routing won't always do it..

MSD 8.5's are about the best to be had LastRights, inspect them closely.. if there are no breaks, or wears, for the love of God, keep them..

They've been on for several months and about 5000 miles. with no problems....that I'm aware of. Better?

You are right, there needs to be a certain amount of mis fires detected, in a certain amount of time, before the pcm will throw a code. I use my Genisys scanner and can see any mis firing.
