But yeah, i dont like the fact that other kids can do what they want and try to cause me to get in an accident. Thats why i want one of these horns.

And i was looking to get a semi horn but i would have to get a compresser and what not.

Is there any atleast under 300? About 500 bucks is too expensive for a horn regardless of how it sounds in my opinion. If i had to buy an expensive horn, i would get that one from hornblasters.
Train horns are air horns as well. Only way you are going to get something that loud, is with compressed air.

Harbor Freight sells electric air horns. Have no idea on their decimal level. You can search for the behemoth air horn/compressor setup kit on Amazon. Sub $300-ish depending on size.

For the record, the kids don't *make you do* anything...

I know exactly what you want, and I, myself have been researching alot. The $2-300 kits are cheap and flimsy. On the other end of the spectrum, my boss has a kit with a K3LA Air Chime. Those kits run anywhere from 800-1200.

Trying to find something in between is hard.

On a recent junkyard excursion I picked up a set of horns from an older model Lincoln. Those old battlewagons have very LOUD horns that get the point across, and the price is much more reasonable than what newer, louder horns cost, not to mention the reliability factor.

Yeah them K3LA Air Chimes are too expensive for me to afford.

So are you guys saying that the sound depends on the size of the compresser? I want the deep train horn sound rather than the high pitched air horn sound.

I'm looking toward them hornblaster horns for about 500 but there 450 shipped on ebay. I just dont want to spend that much on a horn because I can pay that much for a whole 4 months of insurance and insurance is more important than a horn.

So there isnt any good ones under 300 besides the behemoth kit?

compressor plays a secondary role, it's all about how much volume of air you can push at high pressure that makes the sound. A small compressor, and a couple gallon tank would be adequate to the task for those times when "beep beep" just doesn't cut it.

Alright thanks everyone, ill just have to look around and save up a good 400 dollars. The el diablo sounds pretty nice but i might save up for one on hornblasters. I watched some of there videos on youtube of them scaring people and that horn is pretty loud and it sounds good at the same time.
