Default Dodge Ram 99' 2500 Exhaust

Hi, I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 with a 360 and no cats. I was thinking of putting an aftermarket exhaust on it to make is sound louder and better, but I don't know what to go with, I don't want it to be ridiculously loud, cause I'll have this when I'm like in my 30's and then it would make me look bad if it sounded like a monster. So I was wondering if someone on here could help me out.

Sincerely,
Repla Skillz

There are a number of threads on exhaust, includin making trhem louder, etc. Lots of suggestions on type of exhaust, brands of mufflers, etc. If you search for exhaust, you will gt more than you want to read. Mine is stock - I like quiet as I passed 30 MANY years ago.....lol

Okay thanks Yeah I'm turning 17 in 3 months so I kinda want that loud feeling but not loud enough that i'll regret it when I'm older and have a family.

Generally, the larger body of the muffler, the quieter. Flowmaster 50 series is not terribly loud. Flowmaster 70 series should be quieter yet. I've got a large Magnaflow (Magnaflow stated it was for towing/keeps the sound level tolerable when towing) and its not too loud but is coming apart after a year. Dynomax Super Turbos (the long ones) are not terribly loud. Like I said, the longer and or wider the muffler, the quieter it generally will be.

You want a second gen dodge till your thirty? They're Already ten plus years old lol. But I agree, quiter is better (I'm 17 as well) going down the highway or trying to sneak out of your gfs house with a loud exhaust is quite inconvenient.

You need a hybrid that will run on pure electric up to 25mph.

I have a highflow cat to 2 super 44's and 5'' tips and its not loud at all but sounds really good at about 2 grand. I have gotten MANY complements on my exhaust and have only had it done for about 2 or 3 weeks and i don't drive it often because i don't have my license yet.

LOL I remember those days....

EDIT: I was laughing because you DO drive even though your not sposed to, like the rest of us did.... NOT because you do not yet have your license. Didn't mean to talk down AT ALL.
