Default 2000 4 x 4 trans jumps in second

Hello, I have a 2000 Ram 1500 4 x 4 that jumps while in second, but not all the time. 1st seems fine, second will jump throughout the range of the gear, not just while trying to go into 3rd. Once it goes into 1st, 3rd and beyond work fine. Trans fluid was changed about 2000 miles ago, truck has 120,000 miles. Any suggestions? Thanks, Mike....

Any CEL? Pending codes? Find anything interesting in the pan when the fluid was changed? Did the bands get adjusted at that point?

Thanks for the quick response! I had the fluid changed at a transmission shop. They did not mention anything in the pan and you know they would if there was something! They did not adjust the bands either. The check engine light has not been on, but I will use my scanner to check it just in case. Didn't know if this tranny had any vacuum modulators or electronic controls that could cause this?

Governor is electronic in yours, as well as fourth gear, and tcc. (solenoid controlled.) The governor pressure solenoids like to clog up, and the pressure sensor get saturated at wide open throttle acceleration... one would think that the GP solenoid would show itself in every gear though, and it doesn't sound like you are running pedal to the metal here. So...... Check fluid level. (in neutral.) See what the fluid looks/smells like.
