I pulled my axles tonight on my 1500 to replace the outer bearings in the rear. As I was putting one back in I heard a clank....the Spider gears fell out of the Carrier. Now for the life of me I can't get them back in.
Can someone give me a tip on how to get them back in the Carrier?
I've never had these out on a Ram. Do you have the FSM from the FAQ/DIY secction? It may tell you in that. Someone else that has worked on diff may come in shortly. Several guys are pretty knowledgeable on gears here.

OH they definitely do. Mine were chipped when I did the gears, so it got new ones.
Need to place the spiders on opposite sides of the side gears, make sure you have the bearings in place (which are basically just washers....), then rotate all the gears together so you can get the cross-pin in place. It can be fun......
look on youtube. I had the same problem and i was able to put three of the gears in then wedge the last in enough to hold while i spun one tire while the other was on the ground. Its a huge pita
