Default Steering play

So ever since I lifted my truck my steering has been loose, like see sawing down the road. I finally got the money to upgrade to the 98 HD tie rods and steering has gotten quite a bit better but I have more play to the left than the right. Turning right it's very responsive but to left the steering wheel faces the 10 o'clock position or so before it actually turns. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

Check FSM. There is an adjusting screw on top of steering gearbox. Loosen locknut, and adjust accoring to FSM s.l.o.w.l.y.....

It is best to do it with the wheels off the ground and someone in the cab slowly turning the wheel after you make slight adjustments.

Make sure you retighten the locknut!
