Y pipe
My local muffler shop was more then willing to remove the catalytic converter
I've thought about doing the exhaust work myself, for what I wanted, myself supplying the muffler's and tip's, I was looking at $400 in labor and supplies/pipe.
I've got access to a Mig welder, just gotta get the pipe's bent.
Let us know what you decide and how it goes for ya!

well right now i got a glasspack in place of the muffler i cut the muffler out and put the glasspack on and ran it out thru the rest of the tail pipe...i was gonna put a new y pipe on and be done with the exhaust
beeker, those head/down pipes you are using are not mandrel bent, they appear to be restricted down to 2" at the bends anyway and this creates turbulence in the flow that way from what I've read...I would suspect 2.5" pipe with bends like that will flow just as restrictively if not more than true 2" all the way into the y pipe...plus I read that if you go too big on those head pipes with shorty headers the scavenging effect is diminished.
I'm no expert but it makes sense.
