Truck won't start

Truck won't start
Tried to start my truck and only heard the starter just click once. Went and bought a new starter, installed it and the same thing happened. Ran new cables to the starter, same thing. checked the fuses, switched relay, put it in neutral, still nothing. Starter spins fine when it's on the work bench, bypassed the ignition and put positive straight to the starter, still the same. Disconnected the neg and pos to the battery and used external battery straight to the starter, still nothing. I'm not a mechanic, but usually pretty handy, I've done everything that I can think of, I am now out of ideas, can anyone help me? My truck is a 1996 Ram 2500 360

Can you give us more info on the truck...engine, trans, year, etc. If you go to UserCP and add it to your signature, it will appear on each post. Makes it easier for members to know what you are dealing with.
There is a realy in the PDC. Swap it with another relay ands see if that works.
Also, in the FAQ/DIY section, there is a service manual you can download and a parts manual as well. It will be helpfull.

No problem. Everybody starts out new, and nto a lot if info about these things until someone points it out.
Try the realy as it is the simple thing to try and no cost to start. Make sure both wires are connected to starter, and make sure ground cable on engine is tight and connection clean.

Just swap the starter relay with the horn relay.
Where is your click coming from? Starter? Or PDC? Is it a light click? Or a solid thunk?
Get the right sized socket that fits the crank bolt. (pretty fair sized....) Try and turn the motor clockwise. Should be able to turn it with a bit of effort. If you can't move it.... there's the problem.
