moving looking for advice p1740
Found this on trailershowroom.com it's a 7x20 tandem and is only 2000lbs. So that's 5000lbs less. Your getting closer to the max GCWR. I know that in some states you'll be arrested and lose your license and vehicle on the spot if you over weight.

isnt the 1740 just a pressure solenoid error? Why chance it... they are $50 online and it only takes 30 minutes to an hour to change it. You can even reuse the fluid if your tight on cash... It would suck to be stuck in limp home mode while towing. I would think the poor pressure flow could mess things up fast under that kind of strain

OK thats pretty easy to do too ...you can unplug them without replacing the wiring harness if its not damaged....I had mine out too.. (they are about $50 also... but rarely fail... mine threw a code because there was bits of metal from my failed torque converter plugging it up and plugging valve body passages.
1740 Means the torque converter isn't locking up. When the torque converter doesn't lock it causes the tyranny to overheat. You are going to cook the hell out of that tranny/fluid by towing that much weight for that distance without TC lockup.
