I had hail damage reeealy bad on my driver side of my pickup but replaced all the panels, door shells, but now all i need to do is the roof. I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 slt. Do you know how I can go about this? I work at an autobody shop but the damage is to an extent that I dont think bondo/paint will work. Is there a panel or weld panel I can buy?
Why not pull the headliner and hammer out the dents from the inside?
+1 on pulling headliner OR get one of those paintless dent repair kits. Should be able to get most of them out that way. It will be slow, but I cannot image that putting on new panel would be either 1. easy, or 2. cheap. Old school way was on hot day, spray the dent with freon......
I have been told that laying a frozen towel on the dented area will pull dents out. Not sure if it works or not but it's a really cheap way to pull dents if it works.

I have done that as well as using ice cubes. Only problem is sheet metal has to be hot - like being in the hot west texas sun in the summertime.
A guy at my shop just told me about this just last night. You take a torch to the backside to heat up the paint so it wont crack and then put a piece of dry ice on the dent and it is supposed to pop it right out.
