Default Need some opinions

Alright first of all, I did do a thorough search on engine performance, parts, and all but couldn't find exactly what I am looking for. So here I am looking for some answers.

Got the 318 V8, looking to make it a mean machine. I don't got a whole lot of cash to spill out into this thing but I wanna make it sound mean. I know power makes loudness but what are some things I could do to make my truck loud, without losing power and all that dumb **** [Straight pipe, Open headers, etc.] I have a full K&N CAI, and a magnaflow cat with a super 10 to duals coming out the back. So air, and exhaust are down. I was thinking a Fastman Throttle Body, and headers. TB to keep air flow good and help MPG a little, and headers to increase sound. But, should I go with shortys or long tube? Which one gives me better sound/more torque?

What are your guys best advice to make my truck louder and give it some power?

Thanks, appreciate it all guys

Have you addressed the stock y pipe yet?

I've read on here that our exhaust manifolds are kinda like shorties so there isn't much of a gain there, but there is supposed to be gain to be had with longtubes.

Yeah it's all new piping from the headers back, it sounds really nice now, a lot louder than stock. Just want to see if there's some more I can do.

Remove the stock exhaust manifolds, stock y pipe, and every piece of exhaust you put on. Leave it all off and you'll be loud. In fact that'll be the loudest it'll ever get. Just make sure you move the wiring under the hood or you're liable to melt it.

Nah, I like my exhaust set up now.

I like my exhaust set up now, as I said in the original post. I was just seeing if I had any other options such as engine modifications.

No i'd rather not lose power and have no back pressure. My set up now is the closest I will go to straight pipes.

People have different opinions.

I was mainly just asking about Headers, Throttle Bodies, and other engine mods I could do to gain torque and HP.

I've read that long tube header's can make a difference on our trucks. That'd be a place to start.

A SCT Tuner from HemiFever can help in regards to power. But don't think buying one will get you 50Hp, it won't, as far as I know.

It can help overwrite some of the factory programming that sucks the life out of the truck.

For torque transmission upgrades and torque converter's is a good place to start, cuz the stock transmission's won't handle much more anyways...
