So I tried to unlock my truck last night and i was unsuccessful. my key would go half way into the lock before it stopped by what i am guessing is some obstruction. I am guessing some a-hole snapped off part of his key inside my lock cylinder on my driverside door. is there a way that i can get that piece out with out spending a ton of money at the dealership to have them take it apart or to have to buy a new one?

 

Is it cold where you live? Could it be ice?


If it is a key I would try to remove it with tweezers or something like that before I took it somewhere

 

Hit it with some chemicals first, make sure it isn't just something binding.
