Just bought a 1999 Dodge Ram Quad Cab 5.9L V8. Btw, 65,000 miles only =D.

Heres my few questions:


The truck came with a camper shell, and the hydraulic piston thingamajigs that hold the window open are broken, they don't hold it open. Where can I find the model of the camper shell and a manual for it maybe? Or even more specifically where can i find the part itself (and part #) and how much do they cost?

Also, the camper shell's front window latch seems to also be broken, where can i find parts for this?

Where can a new window be bought for the camper shell? The window was shattered beforehand and now it is just a large piece of plexiglass.

The radio also seems to not be working as it doesnt receive any radio signals. Is there a wiring diagram for the antenna and radio system and what is the proper way to remove the radio? (it is an aftermarket radio btw).

you can find those piston on ebay for pretty cheap. I'm not sure which one you would need though. They also sell them at some auto parts stores. Out here auto zone is where i find them. you could take one of them off and go to the auto part store and ask them for 2 new ones. they run about 20 bucks a piece or 10 bucks a piece on ebay. as for the radio id check the antenna plug on the back first make sure its plugged in.

 

What would those piston things be called if I was to search on ebay?

Most auto parts stores have them also. Measure the compressed length and the extended length. Camper shell should have a manufacturer tag inside somewhere.

Ebay - rv accessories for window latch is best bet probably.
