I put mine under the middle bench seat up front, fit very nicely. It's a 1200w hifonics.

Ditto on the pictures. I've always wanted to mount mine behind the back seat and didn't think about re-drilling the rear seat mount so I could move it forward until now.

i am about half way done with the total stereo install. I will get pictures up as soon as I'm done. by moving the seat forward 1 inch also made the backseat a little bit more comfortable. (not sitting up so perfectly straight). All I have left is to mount the components in the front doors. All the wires are run, amp mounted, sub installed, cd player installed. Just the components left.

How did you mount it on the back wall? What I mean is are those ridges on it high enough to allow a screw to go in without poking all the way through to the outside?

the screws poked through the back wall, key is do not overtighten as the metal is very thin and will strip if to tight. little bit of silicone, keeps moisture out, I've mounted amps to the rear wall before, never had a problem.

using sheet metal screws? Aren't you worried that after a while, those are going to work loose in any event, and let the amp bounce? (not to mention the holes in the cab...) I would be real tempt to use nuts and bolts..... I know they would be a major pain to get to though.....

yea nuts and bolts would definately be better. but like you said getting to them would be a pain. I've never had a problem on any of my previous trucks. Another thing that will help me is that the side of the amp is actually resting on the carpet, on the carpet, so the screws aren't really doing much. I couldn't get a pic of the amp or the seat brackets, but here this is the component install(before and after).

I will get a pic of the amp and the brackets after i go to town. (I would have to unbuckle my child car seat, and I don't feel like doing that right now).

I like the look of those door speakers, that's an idea if my stock speakers ever blow.
