00' 5.9--->93' 5.9 ?
Hey guys,
Will a 00' 5.9 swap into a 93' 5.9 fairly easily? The motor in my 93' is toast, game over, and i can get my hands on a very nice low mile 5.9 out of a wrecked 00' ram for $500 which also includes other essential parts not just the block. The motor in my 93' was SMPI (magnum series) NOT TBI so it should be a pretty easy change out correct? Thoughts?

there should be no concern if you're talking about block, rotating assembly, and heads.. I'm assuming you're keeping the intake and such from your toasted engine, and retaining the wiring harness, no? If so, it should be a bolt up..
I may be wrong, but I think the '93's used 1.5 rockers on the heads, and the 1.6's were introduced in '94~5.. I don't know how efficient the OBD1's are at learning, but the difference is so slight it shouldn't be a big deal.. And, I don't even know if I'm right about the rockers~ I just have the slightest of memories about something like that..
