You do know that Carfax is more of a gimmick than anything, don't you. If nothing is reported to them it won't show up. Vehicle could have been in an accedent and was paid in cash--no report.

Just a FYI with an IMHO.

Thats what happened with mine apparently because its had to have been wrecked... I found my airbag is gone and the entire body from doors forward including radiator support is from different trucks.... ***** I bought it from lied and fed me a bs story about repainting it to take care of some minor rust issues... he told me the truck was blue and he painted it black, (only most of the front clip was)

Well, this isn't a private party sale, it's from a non dodge dealer, but preowned. Traded to the dealer so i know they did their homework on it, just trying to do mine before i go in to see them.

$35 (IIRC) at carfax.com will do the trick, I suppose.

most dealers where i am from will pull a carfax for you if you ask. And if they start feeding you a line of crap about how they can't, then its possible that its been wrecked

I spent some time in auto sales. Dealer has to pay for carfax also. We would only run them if we had a solid deal. Running them for "lookers" came out of my pocket....

Unregistered is correct - you can run it onn their website for a fee. Gotta have the VIN.
