You don't need to take it off to flip it.

Right below the buckle, twist the belt 180 degrees. Hold the folded portion tightly together, and slide the buckle downward until the fold passes through it. Bingo. Straighten the twist out of the belt, you're done.

My drivers side is the same way, but I have used it so much that I dont even notice its twisted anymore

Indeed. I figured it was the words that got tangled up in OP's mind so I wiggled 'em around a bit so they might fit better.

It's always the simple things that hang us up. A hundred guys can go in to a hundred trucks to change a hundred heater cores and not a one will screw it up. Then along comes a twisted seat belt buckle and things get dicey for at least a dozen of 'em. Ain't no telling why our simple minds find the complicated things easier than the simple ones. It's just one of the wonders of being born human, I guess.

I do what Unregistered said all the time. I seems I'm the only person in my family that can drive a vehicle without twisting the buckle. And I'm also the only one that will fix it. I can't stand driving with the buckle backwards and the belt being twisted.
