Should really only have to redo the clutches in the stock rear but if not it shouldn't be a problem, auto trans is the big issue, they're only ment to handle 450 ft/lbs so stock your pushing it but stick box or rebuilt you'll be fine. The V10 gets the same drive train as the Cummins and a lot of my buddies are diesel freaks that don't back anything up besides auto Trans. I'm goin belt driven forced induction, take the A/C pump out and put a belt fed turbo in there for a no turbo-lag set up of about 6-8psi. The motor only has 8.1:1 compression ratio and forged connecting rods but a 200ft/lbs increase is a bit far fetched, maybe 125 but still that's damn noticeable. Btw the pistons are the same size as a 5.9L (4inches) but nothing else has a 3.88inch stroke, hence the low end torque and why it bounces the needle in the redline at 4300RPMs where as the 5.2 and 5.9 flutter at about 5500-5600RPMs

I'm in the process of finding a core engine to rebuild. The first one I bought never made it out of the junkyard. The guys working there don't know what a long block is apparently. They tore the whole thing down into pieces and then lost half the components.
I'll probably order up another one next week so I can get started gathering my specs. That way I can send my specs to a viper junkyard to compare crankshafts. They run a forged crankshaft right out of the box. If that works, then ill have a full forged bottom end for under $1000. Don't rely too much on factory forged rods though. They are made with the cheapest forging process available. They are nothing like the aftermarket forged rods that are available.

As far as the Trans goes, we are ok. We have it fully built with a billet converter and Kevlar bands, shift kit, and all the other bull that comes in the PATC stage 3 kit.

I thought about supercharging it and may go that route if I can design my own brackets. The air pump location is a great spot for the charger, especially if you want to run an intercooler. I'll be running on this new engine for a while before I jump into forced induction. I just want to see what kind of power gains I see from a fresh, higher compression engine.
