Default fan switch problem

my fan in my truck only works on 3 (hi), it does nothing on 1 or 2. The AC blows cold and the heat also works. Im guessing it would be the fan switch in the dash, so I would just need to replace the switch? Does that sound right? I thought either the switch worked or it didn't? I wouldn't imagine it would be a relay or some sort?

More likely to be the resistor block. Look around by the blower motor, should be a bunch of wires going to a plug, on a 'block' held in by two screws.

Do you heave to remove the blower to replace the resistor?

Shouldn't have to. Should just be screwed into the heater box... two or three screws, and an electrical connector.
