Nicely done there Backwoooooods!!

Question: How are your mount points done? isolators or bushings to help with vibration and banging around when you really run that thing? I'm sure you've got it worked out and would like to see that if possible.

Actually it's just sitting in the truck for now. I haven't quite figured out how I'm going to secure it. I'm not gonna lie the fiberglass is intimidating. If I was to just use some body filler and bedline it (I'll bed line my whole interior with income tax) do you think the bedliner would make the particle board come apart?

Get a counter sink bit for your drill and set those screw heads down, then bondo the heck out of it, sand then sand some more, then sand, then use a high build primer then sand and sand then what ever. If you have never used fiberglass before and have little patience(not meaning you) then it's not the right product to use. The stuff is not that ez to work with until you get the hang of it.

Edit: You are going to want to seal/paint the inside, ends of the wood all of it so to prevent moisture from swelling the wood.

If you have a marine store/marina or Rv place around you, you can pick up some plastic cup holder inserts.

Link to what I am referring to, This is just one example.

Hey man, the wire mesh I spoke of is really only for outside parts like making custom ground effects, hood scoops or spoilers. I should have been more clear on that. As mentioned above, seal the inside too or it will rot from the inside out. Also keep in mind that the material you add to it will increase it's size, so maybe under-build a bit so it wont be too big to install or live with in the end. BTW - what you've done so far look great!

I have to say not bad. Id love to see it when shes done. Looks kinda like our DNR Dodge Ram center consoles. Id make the cup holders down in that center section not up top where most of us rest our arms. Then i might put two in the back for the passengers.
Could possible put a 10" sub in the back also. great way to get a tad more BASS in the truck.
Hope ya post your finished product soon. Ya might have a couple people wanting you to build them one.
