Cracked stub shaft

Okay after doing the plenum repair over the weekend, and ditching the idea of going to an electric fan because of time limits (have to go back to work in the morning) I decided to go ahead and do the pass front axle joint. I did the drivers side a few months ago, and it was tough for that one too. The ujoint seemed like it was coming out easier on this side, but I realized after cleaning the stub shaft, it was cracked right on the edge of the yoke. I'm seeing prices anywhere from $850 for the whole pass assembly, to $300 for the stub shaft. Anyone know of any other options on sources other than the dealer. I remember removing the hubs from mine the first time around two years ago, before I covered them with anti-seize, so a you-pull-it yard doesn't sound like a good way for me to get thew part I need.

Have a look here. http://www.quad4x4.com/DodgeDana60front1998-1999.html

If you could take the time and fill out your signature that would help everybody, you can do this by going to the "User Cp" in the upper left of the black bar.

Thanks for the link Merc. I'll be adding things her and there getting everything listed. I can't figure out if I broke the yoke in the press, or my girlfriend driving it for 6 months with the u-joint worn out cracked it. Either way, I'm about to spend more money.
