Default A/C Cut out

I have a 2000 5.2 Dodge Ram. The A/C seems to cut out randomly. I can be driving on the freeway on cruise control and it starts pumping warm air then back to cold. When it is working it is very cool. It can even be at start of driving, be on road for 2 minutes and it will switch cool. No change in the vents so I doubt a vacuum leak. Any other ideas.

Go to the FAQ/DIY section and download service manual and part manual. This will be helpful for as long as you own the Ram.

You will need a set of AC gauges to check the pressure. The system has a low pressure cut off switch to protect the system from burning up.

Also, if you go to User Profile and enter your truck information, you will not have to keep adding the same information every time you post. It will make it easier for everyone to know more about what is going on.

And welcome to DF.
