line preasure question after shift kit

Default line preasure question after shift kit

in the shift kit install it says i can adjust the line preasure i tried the normal setting everything was weak. now i have it on alittle more than normal and the firmed up but still dont feel right. how far can i turn that preasure up? i dont wana hurt anything but i want to feel it and have it haul butt.

Did you put a gauge on it and read the pressure? I cannot remember which port, but it is in the FSM. That should give you an idea.

so wut i hear is its sapposed to be 55-60? wut can i increase it to without hurting anything. ive heard people doing 10-20 turns with no shift kit for a increase of 10psi-15psi increase over on *********.com i just dont wana over do it

I know that "turns = and approximate increase" but is not exact. That's is why I always use a gauge so I know exactly where I am relative to the maximum pressure allowed. I don't know what will screw up, but I would suspect something will if the pressure is too high. But I also do not know if you can get the pressure high enough to jack anything.

My transmission book is out in the garage and it is raining like a big dog or I would look up the pressure range.

ya the kit says keep it flush if ur stock hp 2 turns out for mild hp and 4 turns out for major hp. i think mine is at the 1-2 turns out i can try the 4 turns out and see if that wrks but ill consult my buddy who does all my wrk last time we did it we set it at stock lvl and it was so weak it felt like i had a 4 cyl in my truck. no *****.
