how often or how man miles should my timing chain be replaced at?

Never. They are made of "search type steel".

Our timing chain srt weak and tend to stretch out at 40 k from what I read . I'm long over due with 150 k. Going to be getting mine installed so I don't have that lag off the line anymore .

It's something you don't notice till you replace it .

mine was shot at 125,000 so i'd say at least every 100,000 or so - or better yet - every time the water pump is replaced, however often that might be.
