tranny cross member

Question tranny cross member

can someone tell me if the tranny cross member in a 1998 1500 2x4 is the same as a 4x4....

i think the only difference is the 4x4 had the t-case skid plate. i can't imagine why you couldnt retro-fit a 4x4 x-member to a 2x4.

in a snow storm 2 nights ago i had i little trouble on the road and "kind of" left the road... the only damage is to the cross member and alli can find around here are 4x4 cross members.....

I wanted to put a skid plate on my 4x2 before, too much friggin work, no where to bolt anything to.

the 4x4 x-member is the same size as far as width so it will fit on the frame rails like a 2x4 x-member. i dont know if the bolt holes are the same so you may have to drill your own holes.
