TIRE QUESTION
i WANT TO KEEP STOCK RIMS ON MY TRUCK BUT I WANT TO PUT 35/10.5 OR 315/75/16. I HAVE HEARD THAT THE RULE OF THUMB IS 2INCHES ON BOTH SIDES OF THE RIM(THE BULGE IN THE SIDE WALL) IS OK. CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH THIS QUESTION?
They SHOULD fit on the stock rims, but they ARE going to rub...unless you have a lift or a 3/4 ton/1 ton truck. Even with a lift, a 10.5" (or wider) tire may still rub during tight turns unless you go with an aftermarket wheel with more backspacing/offset.
