50mm for the 5.2 and 52mm for the 5.9 these are 2 barrel TBs and it's 52mm or 50mm ber barrel. go with a K&N FIPK if you want the mopar one. it's the same thing.

I highly recommend you talk to Dan Arcand at thefastman.com. He will tell you exactly what you need.

My engine in my '99 is a 5.2, and the stock TB was 50mm at the bottom, and like 47mm at the top. My fastman TB is bored 50mm all the way. He also removes some of the excess material on the top to take better advantage of a cold air intake style air hat. It was definetly one of the best mods I did. He usually recommends the 50mm for the 5.2's, and the 50mm or 52mm for the 5.9, depending on what you are trying to accomplish, what mods you currently have, and what mods you plan to have (that's why I suggest you e-mail or call him up). If you go to big, you will kill your low end. He has done extensive testing with many different sizes, so I really trust his recommendation. He is an awesome resource, and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to making power with a dodge truck (take his 9 second Dakota R/T for example).

OK, a different perspective on this issue... I say go with the 52mm period, you can restrict airflow by way of the air filter. I found this out messing with 2 of my filters, 1 7x9" and the stock K&N filter (both K&N). the big filter allows way more flow on the top end and looses low end torque, the small filter brings back the lost torque and lowers the HP on the top end... If you ever want more top end, the TB wont be the restricting factor...

my .02 worth...

Ya, that's sounds like it would be a good approach too.

the way I'm looking at it is you can always restrict airflow, but if you want more what's the easiest way to get it... air filter swap.

I have the AEM brute force air intake ( which i may be switching to the k&N and putting that one on my other truck.) hypertech programmer, headers, exhaust, ignition. Maybe a cam or stroke it later on. or a comlete rebuild. I going to get the fast man 52 but what do you think about this. the mopar thing i was talking about is the same thing but alittle cheaper. i think this ones better. i figure i might as well do this along with the TB. what do you think

I think you want this one... http://www.krcperformance.com/newcon...1manifold.html the 1 your looking at is for a carb conversion. or doesnt fit the magnum motor. there are no fuel injector bores so you'd have to use a carb.

oh yeah another thing... that manifold has a reputation for loosing low end torque. your truck being a CC 4x4, you might consider doing a ported manifold instead. I'm going to be selling mine shortly after I do my next manifold install (still have to find a non-egr kegger to mod). My manifold breaths well up to 5k rpms...
