Default 98 Ram Shutting Off...

I have a 98 Ram 2500 that is shutting off on me. When it warms up, and i give it some gas and then let off the throttle, she is sputtering and then shutting off on me.

After I switched the computer to a 01 Ram, I am getting code P1495 when i scan it. HELP!!!

The code is reading as a leak detection pump. I replaced the purge solonoid, still nothing

not entirely sure on that one.. if im right that code is triggered by some sort of evap leak.? im not sure if it will help but a guy i work with had some evap leak code and he just replaced the rubber o-ring on the gas cap, then the problem went away. maybe thats the problem. hopefully some one else who knows more about the evap system will speak up.

P1495 Leak Detection Pump Solenoid Circuit. Probably not related to your problem.

Disconnect the front O2 sensor, see if that doesn't help. If it does, replace the sensor.

Something else you should do, is clean the throttle body. Remove it from the intake, pull the IAC out of the back, and clean EVERYTHING out really well. While the TB is off, have a look at the inside of the intake, see oil pooling in there? Read the stickied plenum thread for your next fun repair.

Put the old PCM back in. Run the motor then check codes again. This sounds to me like a clogged cat(as in blown plenum).Which is also why the o2 sensor is going bad all the time. A failing crank sensor can also have the same symptoms.
