94 3500 4x4 "death wobble"
Ive had the infamous death wobble on my 94 3500 V-10 reg cab dually for way to long now & I need some assistance. This was my fathers truck & I got it when he passed back in 08. It was totalled (left front hit) & rebuilt by himself & my little bother & its sentimental to me. The put a 2" leveling kit on the front & Ive been all over the suspension parts & everthing seems to be tight. My wife was driving behind me & saw the front wheel violently turning left & right where the right front stayed still. My guess would be that the left drive axle is somehow coming un-clipped from the differential in the axle & sliding outward causing this. I have lock issues with the front axle which Ive narrowed down to the actuator & will be putting a posi-lok in to replace it. All the tie rods/joints & ball joints seem to be tight when I jack it up & move things by hand & the stabilizer shock is new. I love this truck but its become a handful to drive when this happens. New joiner & glad to be here! Thanks for any info!
Jacked it up last night & found a defective left front lower ball joint. Looks like you need a press to get them out & all I have is a BFH. Calling for all new joints today, & going to check on shop prices to install them.
