Leave od off and you should be fine for a little while. Just dont beat on it and take it easy. A couple of monthe shouldnt be a problem. I had my 35's with stock gears for 8 months and towed alot and just beat the **** out of it and my trans held up. It incidently died but not because of the tires.

I have 33 12.50s on 15x10s with 3.55s and they slowed it down a lot. I'm in Florida tho so there's not really any hills. I turn od off until I'm up to speed and over about 45 mph. Im looking for a rear with 3.92 or 4.10 lsd.

I had stock 4.10 gears on my jeep and steped up to 32" tires and I couldnt even hold highway speed in 5th gear... had to use 4th...plus I was always flooring it and downshifting to move....(It was embarrasing on long trips when I couldnt keep up with my friends) I went to 4.56 (would have been the stock ratio equivalent for 33" tires in that vehicle) and I could use 5th gear and my mpg improved dramatically...
Gears are not cheap done right but they do improve the value of the truck and are the only was to go if you expect to actually drive it a lot.your transmission may not die right away but it does strain it much more and wear it out faster due to much higher heat from less TC lockup and constant shifting... The engine and tranny will be worked like your always towing...
