Does it act like a manual trans when you forget to push in the clutch?

Yes, I am aware of that.

If the TCC does not release, it will act EXACTLY like a manual trans, when you forget to push in the clutch, hence, the question.

Default Got it

I understand your question now, sorry.

No it doesn't act like a manual., So let me clarify the problem. On a straight road (no incline) In drive or reverse, with foot off the gas from a dead stop, it will creep forward or backward just fine, but if you are pulling forward after a stop or parking in drive or reverse with an incline, and you need to tap the gas slightly it will rev to approx 1000rpm and then die.

I'm thinking TC also. But did you bother to read the link I provided and tried to eliminate some of those diagnostics?

All the 2nd gen trucks had the TCC. (unless it had a manual trans obviously. )

You should look underneath to be sure. The sensor would be in one of the fluid lines near the tranny. If you see nothing, then reset the PCM and go from there. That code, #37 is usually the temp sensor that the code is also for.

And would you please add ALL the info about your truck to your sig and profile.
